Don't expect much of anything from Alaska. They are giving us very high marks for a job well done, but growth is not even being rumored.

It's inconsequential whether you guys believe the specifics of the RFPs or not. What is important is that sometime between now and the end of March we all we have a good idea of what 2013 holds for OO.

Actually, heard today that although it will be a small increase at first, the plan is eventually (hopefully) a lot more flying for Alaska. Alaska doesn't move quicky and neither does OO. Alaska is slowly growing and adding routes here and there.

Just got the following email from SkyWest.

Thanks for checking back with me, we are still not conducting interviews and will not be for Mar or Apr. If you will check back with me around the middle of April then I should know about May.

And when they start hiring again they will be today's news! It's the same BS at all the regionals.

For what its worth, I left Eagle and came to work for SkyWest about 5 months ago and I am much happier here. For me, it was well worth the wait. Eagle was a good company and has a lot of great people there but the Skywest system as a whole, especially the training department, is much more user friendly.

Someone mentioned a few posts back about news on additional flying coming by March, possibly followed by interviews & classes resuming.

Any new info, or still "all quiet on the western front?"

No news yet. Inc bid for both the American and Airways flying and lost out on both, so far.
