Very good.. I dropped the bid for PHX, enjoying a line in TUS, don't really want to do reserve... Glad you're doing well, now I know where to look for ya in open time!

For those keeping score at home:

I got an email from SkyWest HR today which said in part

"At this time we are not holding interviews for Jan, or Feb. If you can please contact me around the second week of Feb, then I will know if they will start up again in Mar."

I am feeling pretty stupid even thinking about turning it down only to wait for what may take a long time to come.

I am also in the pool.

Hey

Tried to send you a PM but it says your mailbox is full.

Hey Ultralight,

Sorry for asking but if you have that much time why are you holding your breath for a regional and not shooting for a major?

Well the majors aren't really hiring much right now. My gut tells me its still going to be another 2 or 3 years before you see some real movement there, and American and Delta have flow ups to take on board before they hire off the street. That really only leaves United and U.S. Airways. I have my app in with United, along with 4,000 other guys! Spirit is hiring 25 a month, but again they have no shortage of applicants. Especially now Pinnacle will be reducing their staffing.
I think Skywest is worth the wait. They have a stellar reputation, great bases, never furloughed and no union BS to deal with. The first year will be tough but I don't have any debt (except my mortgage) and I have other forms of income. Its Skywest or overseas for me. I'll give it a couple of months, then if they havn't called and I havn't gone crazy by then I'll pack my bags and head to Asia.

I just applied via airlineapps and wondering if they either call or send an e-mail for an invite for an interview. I am working out of the country at the time and my phone doesn't work very well.
Can somebody please shed some light please?

I pressed the submit button weeks ago, all I got was the generic letter from skywest/airlineapps. Still no call or e-mail.

Looks like hiring has stopped, or at least what I have read.

Job fair today in Vegas, anyone interested should have gone and asked their questions in person concerning hiring.
