No more Bro classes scheduled at this time. Two CRJ classes planned is what I heard. Nothing in February and no more interviews planned, although there is a "pool."

I live in Chicago and would love to get the jet. I'm commuting west for the bro now though. There are plenty of people trying to transition ahead of me who are complaining about them not running transition classes. I don't know what anyone is talking about when they say that not as many people as they anticipated want to go to the jet. I'd be happy to take one of the junior CRJ domiciles and not have to commute. Tons of people have their bid in for it and aren't getting it.

Thanks. My understanding is that there is a CRJ class about to start on the 31st DEC, then another "scheduled" for Jan 28th, which may be postponed until Feb now. I thought they were ramping up their hiring right now. Kinda strange that they jumped on the brakes all of a sudden. Someone mentioned that the same thing happened this time last year though.

Wouldn't it make more sense to hire like crazy during the slow months and stop during busy months because then pilots hired would be out of training and ready to fly by summer and check airman would be freed up to fly in the summer and not tied down with IOE?

Currently most RJ bases are properly or over-staffed. MSP went from 105 to 140 FOs in 3 months. More flying in the future for MSP? Possibly, or they just didn't have anywhere else to put people.
