They will ask to see your ATP written since that is pre-req to interview. I don't understand the rest of your rambling.

Tailwheel time is not "important" at SKW.

Well, it is to one guy... . Fortunately we don't have to deal with him very often.

If someone shows up with a 70% on their ATP written (where all the answers are given to you) it would make me wonder how they would pass a 121 groundschool where the answers are not so black and white.

Seventy percent also shows either lack of study interest or just flat out not wanting to take the time to study the material.

Yeah, some of us got hired, then passed ground school, and then went on to get a 70 on the ATP written. Not that I know anyone who did that.

After the fact, sure no one is going to question you on in interview about it and besides who cares. Hope you don`t get a certain dude in the sim for your ATP ride, cause your oral is going to be exciting once he sees that seventy percent. Or you might get lucky and get the guy who doesn`t care.

Aren`t underachievers exciting

Hey folks!! What are the possibilities of geting LAX on the Jet as a new hire? And if you already have 121 experience and the ATP how different is the interview?

If you already have 121 experience they usually let you skip the sim part of the interview. They're going to grill you on systems questions for whatever jet you flew though. I've heard that guys with CRJ experience especially tend to have a harder technical interview than most of the typical CFIs. Everyone on the interview board is a CRJ captain. Study the systems on your most complex airplane like crazy!

You probably won't get LAX as a new hire on the CRJ, but then again it has grown a lot recently with the AA flying so you never know. Everything out west is typically pretty senior on the RJ. On the Brasilia you would have a chance at getting LAX pretty quick, and you could definitely get FAT, PSP or SFO right out of training which wouldn't be a bad commute for a while.
