Not so much, but it's certainly something I would like to do if it helps me get out. However I've been hearing that check airman are now finding it harder to move on as Skywest asked the majors to slow down the hiring of LCAs. I've flown with a few captains who don't want to become check airman for that reason
So I am thinking of moving to the majors, and Allegiant has a pilot meet and greet in CVG on Monday. You think it is worth going and working for them?

Actually True. A few years ago Jerry and Chip both went to DL and UA and made the case for not hiring too many too fast or the feed would suffer. UA does hire quite a number of ExpressJet pilots in relation to Skywest pilots. But the Skywest numbers are lower overall.

When you select SkyWest and view their hiring mins, it says 1500 TT and 200 cross country. Is that reduced for the reduced ATP mins? I did not attend an accredited University so I would need 500 cross country correct?
