With the current fleet projection and lack of flow at Compass, the upgrades are drastically slowing down. SkyWest is at a 3.5 year upgrade and only to get quicker with the current fleet projection. That doesn't mean it won't slow like Compass though if we start to lose the 30 CRJ 700s coming off contract.

I was under the impression that only 15 are accounted for at this point. 7 for AA and 8 for DL? Am I missing something?

And neither are you. The UA flying is about to get much smaller in the next 3 years with their new Airbus coming from China and Spirit, their 40 additional 737s just announced and the E190 order which will be announced in the new few months. Plus DL taking back the flying via the 190. That's why we will shrink and upgrades will go backwards with possible downgrades.

I would not call a short term contract for 7 out of 41 airframes a success. The 700's going into the delta system are replacing the older horizon 700s so it's still a loss of airframes

I must say the lack of experience over there is frightening. The bonehead mistakes I've witnessed form CPZ crews over the past year is crazy, and I'm not even based at a CZ domicile. Thank heavens it's from the safety of another aircraft. The quick upgrade fun time is all well and good until there's a smoking hole and congress decides we need a 7,500 hour rule. I know quite a few Renslows running around with 4 stripes over there.
