My class was awarded upgrade last month.... Would have been about a 2.5 year upgrade.

166 FOs in the ORD bid and only 96 targeted lines for February. What the hell is going on? They need to award some transfers already, or find some more flying.

You could look at as being happy when they hired you, you were put in class and not a pool. It could always be worse. But that doesn't apply if non-newish hires are being affected.

Either way this isn't going to be a long term problem.

156 CRJ FOs in ORD and 152 targeted lines. You'd have a line on the CRJ. Nearly everyone on this forum and other forums has told new hires to take the CRJ instead of the 175 unless they want to be junior for a very long time. It looks like they were all correct. Now all of the people who had SJS and insisted on taking the 175 are complaining about sitting reserve.

Agreed. We have 2 bases with virtually no reserve on the CRJ and very minimal reserve at a lot of the other bases as well.
The 175 is not the airplane to go to right now until the new ones start showing up in the ladder half of this year.

The guy sitting next to you doesn't think your UFlyMike works great. I either can't hear pilots who use them or I have to crank the volume all the way up and listen to static for the whole trip so I can hear them. That's a common problem in the CRJ with every single pilot I've flown with who has used one. No other headset is quite as bad.
