So what's with Mexico and an EFB? I tend to bring a laptop on trips to get some work done but am I right there's a one device limit? Anybody sneak in a laptop? I'd hate for the federales to get into my warcraft gold...

It's been in a few bulletins and in forums, something tells me it's not official and just a way for a few official to acquire some tech

It has always been the policy in Mexico. When United first started going there with the iPads they were confiscating them. The last bulletin said they had it fixed, but we all know how reliable that stuff is.

As far as I can tell from MT's newsletter a lot of our United 700 flying is coming off contract (All of it?). We have transfered over everything to AA in the LAX base so far, but I'm guessing this means big changes for the IAH base considering that base was 60% UA 700 flying 40% Delta 900 flying... A possible base closure would explain why they have stopped bringing in new FOs into houston.

HA! Get used to this. I can count on one hand the number of times I DIDNT have to call payroll on payday in a year.

Depends where you're based. Call the 1-888-717-9000 number and follow prompts for payroll. Don't expect a speedy response. Sorry to say.

Good luck

Hmmm. I hope you're wrong about this. I was counting on basing out of IAH upon completing training as I live in south Texas and commuting from here is a real pain. But, my own selfish issues aside, it seems like that would be a huge blow to the company given the amount of flying that would be lost. And, for those already based there I sure hope it doesn't happen.

Did the 7 that went to AA in LAX come out of Houston?
