Skywest
Good, i thought i might have been the only one getting the urge to bash in my head after reading that thread.
for those guys to equate the desire for larger airframes to stay at mainline (and mainline pay scales) to "rolling up the carpet" and wishing ill to Skywest and lifer pilots is effing ridiculous. F-ing clueless.

To bad 190s won't be going to Skywest anytime soon. Was terry the one wanting 190s there?
Granted, he might have been a bit brash in his initial statement, but it was hypocritical for him to be attacked for wanting large RJs at mainline. To bring up the "me me me" millennial argument when you're the one wanting and trying to justify why it'd be more economically sound that the 190s come to OO instead of mainline is selfish to me. Sure, the addition of larger RJs would benefit the senior pilots at SkyWest with a little more job security in the long term and what an extra $5/hr based on the recent minimal gains we've made, but at what cost to everyone else? Yes, a lot of them didn't choose to end up at SkyWest for their career due to factors out of their control, but would you have been on this side of the argument when the first scope relaxation occurred? No... That demonstartes more of the "me me me" attitude than anything..
We still have 76 seaters here that aren't going anywhere anytime soon meaning some type of job security, but to argue anything bigger should be flown at a regional is selfish and a detriment to the majority of pilots in this industry.
-rant over...

Total toon. People couldn't stand him in PSP. And he's clueless about the legacies. I know guys who have been at DL and UA less than a year who have decent lines, about 16-17 days off and all based on the west coast. He's in denial because he's stuck at Skywest. Just cause he sounds like he knows what he's talking about doesn't mean he does. He lives in his own world.

TC is a little brash, but anyone who had to work the corporate life probably had their IT guy with the same social skills. He knows way more about PBS and its problems than our SAPA PBS guy and KH. I'm hoping his meeting next month with SGU will yield some positive results. But yes with that discussion he is way out in left field.
Quick question for everyone about the new Sked+ stuff. TG sent out the email showing what the new restricted OT stuff will look like, but what about the MRS. Per the TR 6-6 the company has to publish MRS values by the 24th at 20:00 of the previous month. Does that mean MRS has to be published by tonight and can't change for January? I noticed they went in and bumped up the required reserves by another 5 for January but I am wondering if that will change by tonight? And what is the penalty of changing the MRS for CS? I think the company will just pay the extra 15-30% and keep reserve staffing low but I guess we will see.

This is exactly what they are going to do. Not only will flying be covered much further in advance, but it's also going to save them a bunch of money covering stuff at 15% bonus instead of 50%. Not sure how anyone saw this as a good idea. Anyone rejoicing about the extra money their making is greatly missing the bigger picture.

Almost every other airline out there has 200% for premium pay.
Instead of negotiating up, we negotiated down.

I just can't wait until the 150% hounds start getting indignant towards the 115% guys.
And now that there is a more complicated pay system setup with the new categories of overtime, the excuse for 200% won't just be a straight no. It'll be "Yeah the system really can't do that"

If only there were people who flew the line and understood the consequences of this change, and warned people before the vote. Oh wait, there were.
