He was a senior FO and great with PBS, it's a lot harder than most think to make that too.
Just say economies of scale in every sentence and you'll be ready to accept the 747's here.

I actually feel bad for those guys. Delusional. Salivating at dreams of 190s. They don't realize they are in the minority on that issue. TC's thin treat of burning bridges because he knows a CP at FEDEX....sad. Any good friend would be quick with the back hand for even talking about relaxing scope.

Granted, he might have been a bit brash in his initial statement, but it was hypocritical for him to be attacked for wanting large RJs at mainline. To bring up the "me me me" millennial argument when you're the one wanting and trying to justify why it'd be more economically sound that the 190s come to OO instead of mainline is selfish to me. Sure, the addition of larger RJs would benefit the senior pilots at SkyWest with a little more job security in the long term and what an extra $5/hr based on the recent minimal gains we've made, but at what cost to everyone else? Yes, a lot of them didn't choose to end up at SkyWest for their career due to factors out of their control, but would you have been on this side of the argument when the first scope relaxation occurred? No... That demonstartes more of the "me me me" attitude than anything..
We still have 76 seaters here that aren't going anywhere anytime soon meaning some type of job security, but to argue anything bigger should be flown at a regional is selfish and a detriment to the majority of pilots in this industry.

I don't think TC meant like that, not that he would make a call to watch out for this new guy, just sound advice as he regularly gives!
The new guy gets hired at a big RJ operator, in less the 2 years he has become bitter and angry. He faces 100K in loan debt and no fast path to a widebody. His misdirected anger starts blaming the 'old regional' guys because he is not yet at his entitled major airline seat making 300K.
Sad really to see RJ guys pointing the finger at coworkers for scope, not one of them had a vote on it.
