See the issue?
I have called and requested the days off I wanted several times with composite lines. They are usually super accommodating unless you're trying to get a major holiday off. Composite lines really are awesome. Best credit/time worked ratio I have ever gotten. If you are in the group between guaranteed and target line holders and don't want a composite line, bid reserve. It's pretty simple.

Great in a well staffed base. A base with 5 reserve lines? Yeah your beautiful composite line is working weekends.

Have you ever called? Like I said, if you don't want a composite, bid reserve.

I'm not even close to being a reserve. But I've been a reserve and a composite at skw. Both have their pluses and minuses. But when you bid a reserve line, seniority matters for days off. Composite? Not so much.

I'm not exactly a new kid on the block

I'm not arguing whether you are new or not. I just think it's a pretty simple fix if you don't like the way composite lines work. I have always had great luck manipulating days off with composite lines. I have gotten 90 to 100 hours of credit working 5 or 6 days. To each their own.

Interesting just checked that bid information table thanks for the tip. Nice to know that that was there but I didnt. heh Why or how would I?
Still makes absolutely no sense to even post that they have 97 lines when they dont. They have 80 full stop. Going off of their own description on SWOL if you fall within the number of lines you hold a line period. Not true

This. They're usually pretty accommodating, especially in a larger base.

Targeted lineholders only get a line if all the folks senior to them don't scoop up a bunch of credit...if that happens, targeted lineholders come up short with a composite line (unless they bid reserve). Maybe everybody has Christmas bills they need to pay off...

Looks like SFO 175 is about 3-4 months out of training for an FO. CPT is about 4-5 years. Someone correct me if Im wrong. CRJ is about the same for FO's maybe about 3-4 years for CPT.

Being SFO based all the new hire FOs that I see are headed to ORD for a few months. The opening of LAX may change how long it takes to get to SFO
