They don't want it published because then all the AoS errors would be exposed. In my opinion, no pilot should have to work more than 87 hours and 18 days in a 30/31 day bid period unless they want to.

West Coast RJ and yes I live in base. Unfortunately, I spent 3.5 years on reserve and if I never have to take a call from CS, it will be too soon. Plus us FO's are a dime a dozen and they don't need to worry about having enough reserves for us. For Dec ORD CA has 22% reserve, while the FO's have 6%. MSP CA 26% and FO 5%. So reserve may be an option to spend more time at home as a CA, but you are just signing up for 18 hour duty days as an FO. Or you will get to go sit in a hotel in another base that doesn't have reserves and not be at home anyways. I know it is only perceived control, but I would rather have some say in where I will be and limit my days to 8-10 hours. Plus we all know reserves don't deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. (or is that only CS that feels this way?) I've given up on any chance of things getting better here and will improve my QOL by working for someone who has the same name on the side of the plane that is on my check. Yep. It's always fun to watch your 2 and 3 day trips get taken away and awarded 4 days just so you can bump your awarded line up from 84 hours to 88. Get to watch junior peeps fly my 19 hour 3 day trips so I can get a 21 hour 4 day. Hate to say it but when SAPA is thinking that we just need training on PBS there is no way we will ever get the bids published.

Kinda effed up that the SAPA guy pushing this "pilot PBS training" as a solution is actually the BETTER choice for VP.

Same here, she was born end of October, I've worked 9 days gone 6 nights since then.

Yeah the other guy was before my time but I have heard that he did some big time damage to our pilot group. Can't remember the details and if I thought that SAPA did anything for us, I would've been more upset when he was elected as a rep again.

9 days at min is 36 but could be as high as 60ish. So you are telling me when you have the luxury of have 60% reserve coverage you only have to work roughly 15-30 hours per month while getting 75. Yeah I would probably be a little less bitter with that. Good for you and I am glad you are getting to spend some time with your new little one.

Yes very fortunate that it worked out into this unusual circumstance of having so much reserve. If I have to complain it's that I won't hold a line for forever meaning very little TPIC to try and move on.

Oh and I got a 3 day that ends at 1:57am on technically day 4....so I guess the universe is paying me back a little:..very unusual trip

Can somebody provide some background on J.B. who's running for SAPA VP? I understand a lot of people are not happy with him for stuff a while back. That was before my time, can somebody provide some backstory?

Even 18 is just too much.

Are you a guaranteed line holder? That's pretty odd. I got two 4 days assigned but I am composite.
