Well that's asinine. Did they at least change it in the book?

Hahahahaha. You're funny. That's the way we've always done it, er, that's the way we're doing it now.

Your response to that be "so you've been violating policy all this time?"

Union would be, grieve it and we may get back to you at some point in time when you no longer care.

I'm pretty sure CA are the same. In my case I got to ask for pretty much everything I wanted , AM/PM , weekends off etc and to my surprise she built me a custom line with all my requests, was better than bidding. I'm sure it was only possible because we were overstuffed

If only we had some type of software that would do the same thing for lineholders. You could request what you wanted and as long as someone senior to you didn't want the same thing, it would be yours. Ah.. we can dream....

How do you go about changing bases? Say, if you wanted LAX but were originally signed ORD as a new hire?

Default Hired in Oct....waiting for E-175 class

Will I ever get out of this pool....or should I just go CRJ whom they keep needing more people for.

Reason for E-175 (since they gave me a choice) was for location.

Or should I just keep calling and asking??
