Does it make any difference to Skywest if you have taken your ATP written before the aug 1st deadline or is the training the same for everyone regardless. As I understand it if I let my test results expire I would have to complete a CTP.

Cannot comment about SkyWest, but if you have your ATP written complete, CTP is not required, and would be a waste of money (unless they just considered it part of your regular training). Get that ATP cert prior to 31 July 2016, and you won't need CTP.

If the written expires, it is expired and the CTP needs to be taken.

No traffic at 0400. Mx flights *usually* have some slop in the schedule since the airplane is typically not ready when you get there anyway.
