Anyone have a current gouge for the interview? I already have my ATP with the CL-65 type rating.

What should I expect from the interview?

Check out Aviationinterviews.com. There are a lot of recent SkyWest interview gouges on there.

If you are already typed I would expect to get grilled pretty hard on systems knowledge. They won't try to play stump the chump, but will try to find the edge of your knowledge base.

Likely; the HR people refer to it as simply the "jet bonus", so they might not care what jet it's in.

Just got back from a trip and my CA mentioned that the interview is purely HR now. So, no sim, no CRM exercise no tech questions. I'm finding it hard to believe, but if it's true, you'll be hired if you simply show up...

Hub pairings on the other hand typically don't have as many early shows/late releases as the aircraft overnight at the outstations. They still have some flying like this, but the majority of the pairings will have mid morning-mid afternoon/evening show and release times. Much easier for commuting.

Get on SkyWestonline when you're eligible and you can look at all of the different domiciles pairings under the PBS page.
This honestly has nothing to do with "Utah". The reason you end up having schedules like this is because that is how all of SkyWest's partners schedule the flights. They have early departures on regional aircraft into hubs so that the regional aircraft can feed mainline's planes in the hub. Works the same with the night flights, they want the regional aircraft moving people out of the hub into outstations at night so they can leave their planes at the hub.

Next new hire CRJ class to start is supposed to have 108 students... Plus the ERJ peeps... Looks like hiring isn't slowing down!

so PDX went JR comparatively. I will be applying soon and PDX is my goal. I know things change constantly and its so hard to predict AC staffing and hiring, but which plane would get me to PDX the fastest from what people are seeing? according to this list they are the same for this period but what do people think will happen in the future? people are transferring over to the "new jet" and new hires are preferring the E jet. I dont care about sitting on reserve longer, i don't care about upgrade time (yet) I just want the QOL the fastest. that is what is important to me and my family at this time in our lives.

PDX will be mostly EJET as the AK 700s get replaced. We may even do away with the CRJ completely. It's anyone's guess. If you are trying to get PDX, I would go ERJ. It is getting more and more junior every time they add a plane.
