Skywest
The two worst days every month at SKW are:
The 9th: Lines come out for the next month. Click on PBS and you can see the lines before bidding opens.
The 20th: Well, we all know what happens on the 20th (or the 18th or 19th, which is when the bids seem to be coming out these days). If there's one thing that gives me heartburn, it's opening up that Line 'Award' for the first time...
Does airlineapps.com accomodate applications for SkyWest nowadays? There doesn't seem to be a section for OO, but on the official website one may apply. Somewhat confused, this being the first time that I am attempting to apply through airlineapps.com and all.

Did anyone else find it interesting that SAPA said on the call today that our attrition is only 28 per month average over the past 6 months? My numbers are 40 per month for April-Sept and MTD October has 36. Are they not including the pilots that wash out of training? Do they not keep their own numbers or are they just getting them from the company? I just thought it was a pretty large discrepancy. It would be awesome to have some time of formal communication where they would publish where people were going.

Any one got any advice for cities for sim training? looking at bidding for CVG or ATL. Which one is better for hotels or whats around the hotels.
Good question on the bidding thing...is it necessary to bid for sim training? How do they settle to which base they will assign pilots after new-hires finish training? I just applied on the website; the openings for pilot only listed Salt Lake City. Certainly that does not mean that SLC is the only base available? I'm hoping to get ORD.
Man, sorry for the mundanely annoying questions. I've been flying 135 never 121.

Right now, sim is conducted in SLC, CVG and ATL. That's always subject to change (except for SLC).
After training, you'll go to MSP or ORD as those are the junior bases.

Anybody got any insight or recommendations as far as the different health insurance dental and vision plans? I'm inclined to go with the PPO plan, anyone got any experience with it?
I've heard mixed things about United Healthcare, and mostly positive things about Delta Dental. I was disappointed to see that the company uses EyeMed, which is nothing but a front for Luxottica and a means of funneling customers into its vast subsidiary network.
