Skywest
Exactly this. I wonder if UA knows we park in their spots at ORD even to do AA and DL flying? If that was a DL lot there's no way they would let us park there unless we were doing a Delta trip...

They almost always zero it out a few days before it's updated. Until you get the SWOL message saying it's been updated don't pay attention to the numbers.

Hey guys, first time I've posted in the regional section. Just want to know if anyone can give me an idea of what a commute out Memphis would look like to say MSP or ORD? I only ask because I'm starting to think about applying. I'm really on the fence right now. The commute will be the biggest deciding factor.

Background Profiles Inc
Does anyone know how thorough of a background check Bankground Profies inc does on new SkyWest employees? Specifically do they check non aviation jobs? Or is it mostly criminal history, education etc?

EVERYTHING. You can't hide in this game... The company is entrusting you with thousands of lives, and multi-million dollars worth of equipment in one of the most heavily regulated industry sectors in the world...

If you are honest when asked about what happened at a previous job they will probably still hire you. If it was a terminition from a pria reporting company it may be more difficult. It is also possible to get hired with some minor criminal thing as long as you can get into Canada. The key is to be brutally honest.

If you are asking if they are going to call a non aviation job and ask if you are eligible for rehire, I highly doubt they will unless it was recent history.
Did ya get caught with the waitress in the walk in freezer at the cafe, eh bus-boy?
If you've been in cuffs and the arresting agency (& in turn the fbi) have your report on file you will get caught. If the arresting agency deletes your records, the FBI still has them.

Anybody start their ground school within the past month since SkyWest started distributing the Microsoft Surface? I'm starting ground school on Oct. 26th an wondering if I will be issued the Surface on the first day? I'm debating if I will need to bring my crappy laptop with me or not.

You can always apply and then decide. Memphis shouldn't be too bad because you have FedEx as an option. I think most Endeavor guys commute to DTW, and JFK now. MSP is more senior for them. But I think ORD or IAH would be easier for you.
