Yes. When you view a pairing you don't like there will be a "delete" button somewhere

If there's one PBS issue we should truly be screaming about it's this one. Most other issues people have are due to them not understanding PBS or them thinking their seniority will hold more than it can.

When you see a reason report that says "replaced/not awarded to cover more coverage dates" the company is blatantly saying right in the reason report "we gave this trip to someone junior because we felt like it."

I understand getting a CN pairing on a coverage date even though I don't agree with it. Having a pairing your seniority can hold be TAKEN AWAY so they can award you something random on a coverage date is total BS though. I can't even believe they can put that in the reason report. Seeing that in a reason report bothers me infinitely more than any regular CN.

Yup! And there's only one reason this is allowed to happen. It's spelle S-A-P-A

Any seniority level can get CN'd if you bid wrong. Usually stems from making the bid too complex. I'm not a PBS guru by any means, but the knowledgeable guys I've talked to can always pick out flaws in bidding strategy when senior folks call up angry about their bid.

Granted, the system should be more user friendly and alert to potential conflicts but that is asking a bit much it appears.

Already tried that, and got nowhere. Until pilots get as concerned about the bids as much as the water it will stay the same. There is one that already posted on the SAPA forums this month and got the we will see what we can do but company need.....

I repeatedly get replaced/not awarded and people JR to me get my trips. Not one time has anything been done.

And yes, coverage dates suck and we should resist PBS bid days off for reserves as long as possible.

As soon as you learn to give up and let management have exactly what they want, then you just might enjoy yourself at SkyWest.

Welcome to AOS PBS, makes management happy!

To second what others have said, it is UNACCEPTABLE that so many of our bids include the lines "Replaced/ Not awarded due to coverage dates."

In other words, "Your seniority held that trip, but we took it away from you and gave it to a junior guy."
