Interesting that I could take the first line and use it about your way of thinking. Not a victim here. Just someone who takes the time after the bids to see where the trips ended up that were "replaced/not awarded due to line constraints". Let me ask you some questions since you have this PBS thing figured out. What happens when PBS makes a mistake? Well if you are persistent enough and can get KH cell number after he doesn't return your messages, you can get them to look at the trip you were supposed to get. After he tries to blame it on you, with help from our SAPA PBS expert, they say it will be reported to AOS. Then either the trip in question will be assigned to you or you will be pay protected for the error.
How many times does this happen each month? What happens to the domino effect from that first trip that was assigned wrong? Don't get me wrong. The company loves people like you who just want to blame it on the end user. Again, I guarantee that if you published the bids, everyone would finally get a chance to see how screwed they are getting each month. Right now only a handful of people each month complain, they fix the issue and brush it under the carpet until next month. The reason most people don't complain is because they don't take the time to investigate, or they screwed something up in the past and just assume they made a mistake this time around.
And just for the record, I have figured out how to work the system. My point is that I should be able to bid the trips I want and get them if someone senior to me doesn't. I shouldn't get trips removed from my line and awarded to someone junior because PBS NEEDS to award me 89 hours when it gets to me. Those trips should be placed into Open Time for extra incentive pay or assigned to those that want to work the extra hours. Globalized PBS doesn't protect seniority, it protects the company.
