For Jr guys. If you only count CA's leaving it's probably less than 8. So far, since June 1st, I've only moved up 20-25 slots and that's over 3 months. Plus in the almost 7 years I've been here I've moved up less than 600 total slots, that less than 8 per month. Yes it will pick up but not till next year.

I would probably take the EMB-120 (if offered) since you will have a better chance of holding a line quicker and the pay is the same on both airplanes the first year and then your perdiem has more solidity.

MSP is the most junior overall, but newhires have been going to ORD, DEN in the last few classes.

Since MSP is slated to get more 700/900 flying this fall i imagine MSP not being so junior anymore.

The chief pilot had to assign me a 4 day trip to get me up to 100 hours so I didn't miss my 100 in 120 requirement. I came within a few days of missing it.

Per diem is all I rely on when I'm on reserve. Months where I don't fly very often I'm getting $650/check with reserve guarantee. When I fly more the per diem can really add up. I've never been lucky enough to break guarantee. I keep myself on call first trying to get the per diem from getting trips until I can get a line.
