I've heard from more senior folks that SkyWest used to mix trips up (at least between Delta and United). When delays on one side impacted the other side's flying, the "losing" side airline complained, and SkyWest stopped scheduling that way. It would make for some interesting trips! At least the cockpit crew does not have different uniforms like our cabin crew...

Thanks. I was planning on bringing one just wanted to make sure either option would work.

Question about pay.
I was wondering once I start flying on the line and get through IOE, what would like likely hood of getting paychecks netting at or above $1,300? From a quick calculation it would take at least 86 credit hours to hit that but if you add in time away from base, I'm guessing paychecks being over the $1300 are pretty likely?

Unless you're talking gross pay, you can do that easy. Your net won't be that way unless you pickup some time and a half

Yes you're correct, gross pay is what I am asking about. switched up the terms on accident. Right now I am grossing as a CFI average about $1300/pp. So take home is around $900. So at least I shouldn't be taking a step backwards in pay for the 1st year
Quick math, on a 80 hour line (probably a low number anyway) you should gross 2400 before per diem. So, your 1300 target should be obtainable on a line. On reserve just pick up 1-2 days of flying on days off and it will pay on top of guarantee.

I'm a captain, was hoping they are to busy with IOE trips. I do alot of seat sub stuff so I may end up doing that instead.
Oh for sure. I picked up all the flying I could on first year. I regularly grossed 2500+ before per diem. You'll be working a lot though.
