Sold off or off to the desert is my guess. Some of those 700s were the first US certificated 700s in the US. They are 15 years old and don't have much life left.
I am given the option to choose between the ERJ and CRJ. What should I go for? I am pretty flexible so I just really wanna go for the one that gives me more flight time faster. I understand that the CRJ has more bases and flight benefits, but in terms of getting a line quicker, more flight time, and faster movement on the seniority list, what do you think is best? Anyone knows if skywest will get more 175s in the near future?

Right now a few months could mean a couple hundred pilots below you.

I'd go 175, but I'm lazy, and want to do the most in the fewest steps. Efficient?
CRJ will be around forever essentially, but if you want to do left seat of the emb, I'd just do that.

Why is a Skywest offering sign on bonuses for the Q400 type? Or is that a typo on APC?

Keep in mind also your # is company wide, so if you start class a few months earlier on the CRJ you will have both ERJ and CRJ people hired after you. In a year let's say you decide to switch airframe, the couple months might make the difference between a more desirable base, or a line vs. reserve.

Correct!
I've seen a few comments on here alluding to picking a plane based on its upgrade time. The aircraft you choose doesn't affect your upgrade time. It's your overall company wide seniority. Unless you're really focused on a base you need, take the first class available. Even a weeks seniority makes a difference just in the case the music stops. At my old airline, if I had started two weeks later, I would have gotten furloughed 2-3 months before I actually did get furloughed.
