Like you've been here for years.

SkyWest has done a lot to keep our pilot's priority on our aircraft. Ask a TSA or GoJet pilot what their priority is on their own aircraft with a UA pilot listed.

I'm not saying it doesn't suck. I'm saying you haven't been here long enough to call any department at SkyWest pathetic.

Well I would say that PBS is pathetic as there is no logic to it whatsoever. Somehow as my bid stayed relatively the same I got 2 standups straight into a 4 day this coming month.. Ughhh 6 days on? awesome.

The answer on the PBS helpline.. Well its all very logical. My response, well its not logical if it keeps on changing with the same inputted variables.

Are discounted guaranteed tickets an option so you don't have to be on standby and actually get onto the plane?
If you work for Delta mainline you can buy positive space at a discounted rate. One more reason to work for the company that has the BIG name on the plane.

United will sometimes work with 1 or 2 people, but as others have stated here, flights always fill up and United loves to buy people off with vouchers. But you will find it more difficult to get days off to travel vs getting on a plane. My travel benefits are mostly used to have my spouse and kids join me on long overnights. You have to get creative with family time when SW only wants to fly 4 days. But a bulk of our non-rev travel is on Delta.

You can do the same with UAL, even as an express employee.

Thanks for the heads up. I had no idea we could do this. Just did a couple searches but ticket cost isn't that bad. Especially if you really need to be there.

On another note, the DVR is out. I thought we were going into the holding pattern if we voted NO? Another month of 0 CRJ upgrades and only 12 on the E175?? So much for that 30 per month on each aircraft that was promised before the vote.

Are you saying Skywest employees can use the 20% discount on full fare tickets? If you are that is not true, it is not available to Skywest employees.

Just saw a SKW ad promising a 3 year upgrade. Considering that there weren't any CRJ upgrades in September and won't be any in October, and that we have no plans for any additional CRJ flying... if I were a prospective hire, I'd take that promise with a giant salt shaker...

Ok, then I guess you guys don't. Sometimes it's much more than 20%, that's a minimum. I thought all express pilots were able to.

Relax upgrades will continue no sense in upgrading folks then having them wait 6 weeks to 90 days for IOE mean while they can pick up open time trips at 1.5 time at captains rate. Once the bottle neck is relieved the upgrades will continue!
