Give ALPA a call, I will be gone long before 65, so no dog in the hunt.

CTP is super simple and easy. The ATP written is the hardest part of the R-ATP.

Also what's wrong with wanting to fly the new plane vs. the old one when given the choice between the two?

I didn't suggest anything was wrong with wanting the ERJ. I'm just asking why he "strongly prefers the ERJ for many reasons"?

No offense... Mainly just curious why SJS is such a bad thing when given a choice haha

Thanks for the replies bud. I try to stay off of these sites due to the fact there are so many cocky pricks on here, but when you have a legitimate question/concern its nice to get an honest response instead of some prick running their mouth. So again, thanks!

Just so you know, I was asking you your reasons because I was given the choice of aircraft. I've been looking at pros and cons of each and thought you might have some insight.

CRJ.= very 80's. Hands on flying.. ERJ. Auto throttle, brakes, go arounds, coupled VNAV. But can't cross flow its own fuel....

Thanks for your info. Several friends told me to go CRJ for better QOL, faster upgrade with lots of people moving to ERJ, more bases to pick from, etc.. I like both planes and live in Chicago so just trying to make the best choice.
