Still contemplating airframe as well. I thought I made my final decision, but still struggling to decide.
Is ORD is even a possibility out of CRJ training? It sounded as if everyone was getting MSP with no other option. I like the possibility of local flights and the delta and American benefits, but really don't want to start in MSP on reserve.
My biggest concern right now with the ERJ is the amount of people in the classes for it and not a lot of airframes online yet... I am guessing they know something we don't or they wouldn't keep filling those classes with 50 or More.
This is a tough decision with pros and cons to both for sure.

Could someone comment on trips from MSP and the likely hood of ending a trip or having layovers on a 3-4 day trip that has a stop in FAR? I'm in FAR and not planing on moving and curious as to what the likely hood of having the ability to bid for trips with FAR stops so I can sleep in my own bed.

If your concerned about where your going to be sleeping half the month this may not be for you. I see a lot of peeps miserable on trips because they are away from home and wonder if they didn't know that going in?

That is possible but after a quick look I didn't see any FAR overnights in MSP pairings. If they do show up they might only be around for a month or it may be another base flying them. Also it's possible to be a standup so you would not have time to go home anyway.

Thanks for the info, I'm not necessarily worried about where I sleep for half the month and I know what I'm walking into. I know I can expect 2-4+ day trips and be away from home. The wife and I knew that well before applying and after getting hired. I just have zero clue on how the bidding works yet, what the trips are like out of MSP, or even what trips would be possible to bid for. I know there are a good amount of skywest flights in/out of FAR just curious as to the likely hood of maybe seeing the wife an extra night/afternoon or two randomly.
