Out of training, most likely you won't get SFO. The most junior SFO 175 FO is currently #3279 on the seniority list, while the most junior 175 pilot in training is #3576. And the Standing Bid List currently shows 0 openings for SFO 175 FO transfers.

As for reserve, there are currently 63 targeted lineholders on that airframe for September, with 80 pilots on the seniority list. I can tell you that the #72 guy on that list has been on property 11 months. Therefore, it follows that you may be on reserve on the 175 for quite some time in SFO. Of course, this set of numbers reflects the fall reduction in schedules, so reserve numbers are up in most domiciles.

As a 175 new hire, plan on ORD for at least a couple months.

As for how much flying you'll do on reserve, it's impossible to say. My second month on reserve, I flew 33 hours. My third month on reserve, I flew 99 hours. It also depends on seasonality, i.e. you'll be used a lot more on reserve in July than in February.

Skywest line pilots got mailed them too. I don't think a lot of thought went in to it.

Given that I'm typed on the RJ, perhaps I should resign and re-apply, and take home the $7,500 signing bonus. Anyone want to 'refer' me? We can split the referral bonus too...

(Edit: Then again, starting out at the bottom would put me on reserve in MSP or ORD, and nothing on this planet can convince me to commute to reserve. Ever. Again.)

Can anyone tell me what kind of airframes they have at COS? Thinking of throwing them an app after seeing the postcard. I ditched the dream a couple years back, but that'd be no commute so I'm considering it...

Also what's the "qualified" part of the bonus they're offering? Need to be current in, or just typed?? Any ideas?

Only CRJs in COS, I think you just need to be typed in CRJ or ERJ

Yeah COS is ALL 200/700 flying, and no 900 flying. It's about 55% 200 flying 45% 700 flying. 700 is more senior, but that doesn't mean junior guys can't get 700 flying. It depends how you bid.

Just assigned a training date for October 26th in SLC. Anyone else have this date?

I've put a couple days of studying the EP/L's and have most of it down already. any other good things to study specifically before indoc that I should request from the recruiter?
