There is now well over 10% washout and IOE is over 100 hours average.
IOE take 100 hrs? For what? To learn to talk on the radio and raise and lower the gear? Well, I guess I'll find out soon enough...

Why not. That's about all you're paid for...

Plan on 50 hours. There are quite a few items that you need to get checked off during IOE.

What is the current reserve time on the crj side and what is the junior base? I know these things change pretty quickly...

Also, seems like a high washout rate in training, what is it? Do they have a AQP program?
Thanks in advance

Most junior base is MSP, followed by ORD, then COS. Very little to no reserve time currently in MSP. Define a high washout rate... My class was about 8% washout. The program is AQP. If you can't fly an airplane, you will wash out. There is a lot to learn if it is your first 121 job and if it is your first turbine job, but where most people struggled was applying SOPs to the flying. The instructors do what they can to help you, but some people just can't keep up. Let me say that most people make it through. I thought the training department was fantastic.

8% is pretty high considering both my new hire and transition class had zero wash outs. It's gone from nearly zero to 10% over just the last year.

How long for den or iah for a line? And do any of you know the main reasons for "washing out"?

Years ago it was uncommon to lose people in new hire training either. My class of 30 lost 2 in sim and one on IOE. Up until recently if you couldn't finish IOE by 50 hours they got rid of you. Typically you were only scheduled for 30 hours or so. 6 days of flying.

From 2002-2007 the experience level of the new hire classes were much hirer. A large percentage were coming from other airlines. (we probably have more Mesa pilots than Mesa.)

With the minimums at 25 hours of multi time now, things have changed.

Ironically, I heard it was the systems test getting people and not the sim/ioe.

The things that have changed from that post 8 years ago, other than pay which you can look up on this page, are:

Reserve guarantee 76 hours
No EMB 120s
Per Diem - $1.85; Jan 2017 $1.90
Trip rig 1:4
Min Day Pay 4:12
Maximum Duty Days per Month - Line holder 19 & Reserve 18
BHO - 6% CRJ 700; 8% CRJ 900
EMB175 has its on pay scale
Pilot Profit Sharing
401K matching
0-4 years of service 3%
5-9 years of service 5%
10+ years of service 7%
ESPP 5% discount

As for benefits, I don't know all specifics of their plans except that the pilots pay 38% of the premiums for health care plans, and that their LTD is a 3 year own occupation, age 65 any occupation plan.

Anyone correct and or add if I'm wrong or omitting anything.
