IOE take 100 hrs? For what? To learn to talk on the radio and raise and lower the gear? Well, I guess I'll find out soon enough...

What is the current reserve time on the crj side and what is the junior base? I know these things change pretty quickly...
Also, seems like a high washout rate in training, what is it? Do they have a AQP program?
Thanks in advance

Most junior base is MSP, followed by ORD, then COS. Very little to no reserve time currently in MSP. Define a high washout rate... My class was about 8% washout. The program is AQP. If you can't fly an airplane, you will wash out. There is a lot to learn if it is your first 121 job and if it is your first turbine job, but where most people struggled was applying SOPs to the flying. The instructors do what they can to help you, but some people just can't keep up. Let me say that most people make it through. I thought the training department was fantastic.

How long for den or iah for a line? And do any of you know the main reasons for "washing out"?

Years ago it was uncommon to lose people in new hire training either. My class of 30 lost 2 in sim and one on IOE. Up until recently if you couldn't finish IOE by 50 hours they got rid of you. Typically you were only scheduled for 30 hours or so. 6 days of flying.
From 2002-2007 the experience level of the new hire classes were much hirer. A large percentage were coming from other airlines. (we probably have more Mesa pilots than Mesa.)
With the minimums at 25 hours of multi time now, things have changed.
Ironically, I heard it was the systems test getting people and not the sim/ioe.

Would any SkyWest pilot be able to post an update to the most current pay/benifits? Maybe something like this post?

As for benefits, I don't know all specifics of their plans except that the pilots pay 38% of the premiums for health care plans, and that their LTD is a 3 year own occupation, age 65 any occupation plan.
Anyone correct and or add if I'm wrong or omitting anything.
