No it's not that because you can still jumpseat on delta. The main reason for CRJ for senior people staying on CRJ is most captains don't want to risk another training event before moving on, the ones that transition as captains are usually staying long term. FO staying on CRJ mainly because they don't want to upgrade and transition at the same time.
I remember taking a 5:00 am van in FWA or something once with a MSP crew doing a Delta flight. I was *****ing something to the effect of "Why do they schedule 5 am flights? I bet you United's CEO never flies at 5 am!" to which one of the other crew members responded "United's CEO doesn't even fly United..."

Close, but not in the same universe. Senior guys are staying on the CRJ, for a series of reasons, the primary one is the giant cluster-F that SKYW has when a new fleet is added. Don't worry as the schedules get better, we will come on over and take your sweet spot. Afraid of a training event, it must be scary for you, to go through life afraid of your own shadow.

Just look at the ORD pairings, we've had a few 30 hour 4 days. AVERAGE credit per day for a 4 day is 5:36 a hour, so the average 4 day pays over 22 hours, I ensure you if you bother to look at most 4 days are over 24 hours on the 175 out of ORD

Skywest having a HIMS program has nothing to do with unions. The HIMS program was started by the NIAAA, the FAA then awarded a contract to ALPA, it was a federal program that was started and funded by the government, the program was then brainstormed by a UNited and Continental captain, the FAA then awarded contracts to ALPA, so to imply that ALPA came swooping in with its superman t-shirt is just silly. JS is based on reciprocating agreements, which non Union carriers have so I would assume alpa didn't negotiate that for us and other carriers. Union carriers pilots want to be on our jump as much as we want to be on theirs.
You truly are a broken record, I assume your house is decorated in ALPA colors and ALPA wallpaper

ALPA lobbies every year to keep HIMS funded. Yes, it is contracted to ALPA to benefit all pilots. As for JS, you just need to go back to after 9/11. No offline JS until ALPA and other pilot unions pushed the Feds to allow it again. That's how CASS came to be. ALPA also is a huge part of KCM. ALPA isn't perfect but they do a lot for pilots, including the coat tail riders.
5:43 average on 4 days for the 200 and 5:55 for 7/9
in Denver.
But I guess if you bothered to look.......

You asked me to show you 4 days worth 24+ I just said to look at the pairings, I can't copy and paste them all here for you
I didn't bother to look because I don't have access to that report...I'm not on the CRJ or in Denver for that matter. System wide report does not breakdown each domicile.

but yes I know your high paying pairings exist. But I've seen far too many 16-18 hour 4 days on the 175 (particularly SFO) for me to bid the plane just yet.
It has a lot to do with the length of the flights, some flights (SFO-MSP, SFO-AUS, SFO-DFW) are just too long to add another flight on the same day and thus the days have low duty days but low pay as well.
once the routes increase and the pairings get better, I'd come on over. but right now CRJ is simply better at least in Denver.
(of course this does not take into account the higher pay of the 175, so I could probably make more money on it but I'm talking straight credit here)
