Tinman -
That is unsat. Write your j/s committee. We have to reign those dudes in because a lot of us commute.
I'm sorry on behalf of those captains.

I agree it's never a good idea

I did, but I'm not sure what the union can do since SKW is non union.

We have a J/S committee that will be interested nonetheless.

We also have things like HIMS as a non Union carrier.

So we’re at a bit of a crossroads. We have the opportunity to take the next important step forward. Or we can place ourselves in a holding pattern.

More than you think, for instance revoke JS agreement by having captains allow everyone BUT Skywest pilots on their jumpseat.

Sounds like we need to accept BHO or else we will lose flying. Oh wait... that was back in 2007. And the flying was announced right after the vote.

All these messages and scare tactics do is make me more confident that the No vote is the right one. No doubt in my mind that they need the first year pay increase, and I want to vote an increase in for them. But you could pay a pretty significant signing bonus for ALL pilots with half of what one executive bonus was. Hopefully a second No vote will show them we understood the first pay package just fine. We need more than some empty promises about minimum reserve staffing to get this deal done.

Within 72 hours your trip should go from displaced to pending. If SS doesn't change it, call them and have them change it at 71:59

You won't get time and a half if you wouldn't have been able to fly the trip at the same time as your displaced one. But you are esentially getting double time if you pick something up. Build up some good karma and pickup a trip posted by a crew member. You know those guys that haven't been able to drop anything for about 9 months now. I had someone waiting for IOE pick up a trip of mine and it was an absolute life saver for me. I will never pick up any company time even if it is at time and a half. If I want extra cash, I will pick up a crew posted trip. Not that I need any extra hours with PBS awarding me 95 hours a month for the past 16 months.

Sorry 4 years of reserve here so I can't call them CS. 72 hours from your show time. Show time at 20:30, call them at 20:31 if it doesn't changed from PEN to DIOE on Sched Plus. Once it shows DIOE you are pay protected for the trip total and can pick up whatever you want. But you will not get time and a half if you wouldn't have been able to fly your picked up trip and your originally awarded trip. That's why I say it is better to pick up something crew posted. There have been cases where CS will tell you that they will pay you time and a half and don't.
