This pay package is better than the last one, much better. While my or our compensation is important, I know that something has to be done to attract new pilots at the same time. Look at the big picture and don't cut your nose off to spite your face. I'm voting yes.

Now, our total pilot count is over 3600 now. I was hired almost a year and 8 months ago and there was 3300 total pilots...something is going on.

Count me in the *vocal* no votes. I was undecided, and even leaning towards a yes. But I think we can get COLA, block or better, and retro. All these things are reasonable and once I see them on the TA I will vote yes.

I do, however, think this will pass because we at Skywest are "yes men." If that is so I will take the increases greatfully. I really do think we can do better and I don't believe the company will shrink just because they can't get away with giving us the bare minimum.

Also, I don't generally agree with his posts but CCB is bang on with his comments around this TA. A word to the wise...

I think your right. Cola is needed. Back pay would be nice...But won't happen now.. Lets be reaistic. This is a huge step in the right direction.. We need ro take that first step. The second will come in 3years when this TA is up.. If we dont take this first step. I dont think will be taking any for 1-2 years... Im going with Yes..

If they offered COLA I would vote yes even with no retro because you're right, there is a need to be realistic. Don't sell yourself short just because you're scared. The company will exhaust ALL options before they decide to shrink.

Remember that stagnation and shrinkage is a paycut in of itself. Just food for thought.
