Pilots living in/near Salt Lake City:
Do you use the FrontRunner and Trax system to commute to the airport? Do you find it to be cheaper than driving? Are there any discount passes available to employees?
Part of our upcoming move to SLC will be based on cost of getting to the airport. UTA seems convenient, but I'd like to hear from you guys. Thanks!

Hey all you folks in-the-know regarding training:
How long are the waits between g/s to sim and sim to IOE on the CRJ running these days?
Also, with such big classes running through the system, how is availability of resources looking? Specifically, if you are in Procedures training and FMS training and wanted to spend time running flows and playing with FMS outside of scheduled time, are resources widely available?
Finally, any prognostications on: 1. How soon to get to SFO on CRJ and 2. QOL for jr. FO on the CRJ in SFO?
Thanks!

For procedures training when I was there you could use the matrix whenever it wasn't scheduled. FMS you can go to the computer lab in the training center whenever you like and access the training software.
As far as SFO goes there were 10 open spots for July on the domicile vacancy report. There were a few people that were awarded it that I don't think are even done with IOE or they've been on line for a month or so. Not to promise anything I just don't think it would be much of a wait. As far as QOL goes I cant speak to that since Im not there.

I was in class this past fall with a class of 40. 28 of us got sim within a few days of G/S being done and the other 12 got a month off. We bid for sim slots so the people that wanted a break took one. I think its been variable since then as far as how many are getting the break and how many get right into sim. End of sim to finishing IOE took me a month and a half. That's variable as well but from other people I've talked to that sounds about average.

Im just pointing out that your post was no different than mine. And I still don't know why you can't just say what you do and who you do it for. I'll show you how easy it is. I'm a pilot for xjt. Now everyone knows my point of reference so people can take my comments in context. For some strange reason you are the weak one who cannot even admit what you do. Whatever...

SkyWest has trained more Check Airman. And uses more Sims in ATL.. So that "wait" everyone was talking about no longer exists... It was do to all the E120 pilots getting traind almost at once... Next class (end of June) is already at 70+ newhires..

Motorcycle parking in Denver
Is there a better option than paying 36 dollars a month to park in the sun in the employee lot in Denver? I have parking paid for in my phx base and commute.
