All I'm saying is SkyWest isn't perfect, but it's a good place to be if you have to be at a regional. It's not $121/hour in 20 years, but Horizon doesn't pay that any longer either.

I don't know Mercyful Fate. I figured (s)he is a crew scheduler.

Our rates will be back to 121 again by 2018. Assuming Horizon still exists.

I would love to see it. Both the $121 and Horizon in 2018!

Mesa and GoJet on the other hand...not so much.

That rules you out as a crew scheduler. At least one at SkyWest.

That is not what I'm saying, you can't accept a job on the premise that your pay will increase, ans then be shocked that it didn't. That's like going to gojet or rah hoping the work rules will improve. You don't do anything based on a expectation. If you accept the job at $24/hr then that's what you go off, you don't get all bent out of shape because a Agreement was voted down that didn't make address the majority of voters just because you were wanted a huge pay increase for yourself, I guess it's a selfish life.

The guy just made a suggesting that the your next pay package have better health plans instead. And you shut him down by telling him not to be cheap because that's what he agreed to when he accepted the job. So I'm just making the point that the same is true for you. Don't be cheap and NEVER expect anything more since you accepted the job for your current pay rates, work rules, insurance benefits, etc.

Anyway, I agree with him and you to some extent. Pay rates, especially first year pay, are going to come up regardless of anything. So it would be better to get other things, especially lowering the 38% premiums you guys pay, since that's not something management is going to give you like they will give you increased first year pay.

I know what I pay for premiums and it isn't 38%. I've seen what the company pays and what I pay, and my portion is a shade under 30%.

Rumor has it that the next pay package proposal is going to be presented soon. It involves Delta in some way, shape, or form. This comes from the school house. Now you guys can argue about that for awhile...
