Default CRJ 200 Jumpseat ?

Howdy, looking to ride on y’all, and historically, I recall CG issues for the CRJ 200 (ballast required). Is it possible to take a jumpseater with your current system (30 minute flight, no terrain, no alternate)? Thanks in advance!

Got denied the jumpseat on SkyWest 2 weeks ago for this issue on a 200. Flight was 35 minutes, full of pax. Not enough ballast. Captain talked to me for a few mins and told me that OO has a hard limitation in place that just barely gets exceeded with a full boat, while other carriers (he mentioned Air Wisconsin) had adjusted their limitations to make it work. OO has yet to figure it out on the 200. He ran the numbers multiple times and it came back outside of lims each time.

TLDR: Yes, OO still has a jumpseat/ballast issue on the 200.

Not sure who the other CRJ-200 operators outside of SkyWest and Air Wisconsin he could have been referring to. Air Wisconsin I do believe has a metal plate or something along those lines permantly bolted down. I don't think that is a very popular concept to the major partners since they are paying for the gas. Hauling a few hundred pounds of extra weight around regardless if you need it isn't a good thing.

The trick to the CG for a 50 passengers and a JS is two kids in the first two rows; I can take a JS 99% of the time. Or with 50 adults its going to be 600+lbs of ballast and you either have to burn the fuel down to minto or you're still .02% out of the fwd CG and mzfw.
