it's likely he or she will get hired where there is no requirement to sign a contract and move on to a major carrier 2, 3 or even 4 years ahead of you and enjoy his or her career far more making much more quicker than you who is now ball chained to a regional. Sounds like they understand business better and don't feel the need to limit substantially their options. For the win! Fact.

You guys let “work” consume your life!!! Ya. Im a OO lifer. But its a blip of my life.. we mountain bike, dual sport ride. Live in our sprinter van 2 months out of the year and travel… But you fly a 737 for DL and can spend your days here playing Delta CA on the internet… fun…(maybe even you payed for your training at XJT). So in the End. If you don’t like SkyWest or what they are doing right now, go elsewhere and move on with your life..If SkyWest works for you and your family. Great. Enjoy the ride..
It's not something you can really describe to someone, it's something you just have to take a leap of faith on and experience. It's not for everyone, if you're happy where you're at, more power to you.

And for the record, the last rating I paid for was my ME in a Piper Seminole.

Have you ever heard of a little thing called the Lost Decade? "No, what's that?" you say. It was a time during the not too recent past where you could not just pick what major you were going to when you had 2000 hours and a pulse. Between the 2008 recession and retirement age change from 60 to 65, it literally set people's careers back 10 years.
It was not fun.

Ya. A lot of us lived the lost decade. And a lot of us have been at not a regional or sketchy 135/91 or a while.
Lost decade was a thing. However if you are still at a regional post lost decade that's 100% on you and has been for years at this point.
