But the fact your getting $90hr, plus typed in a state of the art jet not a turbo prop, single occupancy hotel room, pay from day 1. Not after IOE was passed. should tell you there investing money in you to the tune of 80k. And they want to recoup there investment.. Funny how some of us waited 10 plus year. Some 15+. And there are people here that are flight instructors, put out that they have to stay more then 2 years at a regional with such certainty that they will have a Major CJO in hand..
For a CFI starting their 121 career the path is a lot longer than 2 years from the start of Indoc to 1,600 hours turbine PIC at SkyWest?

Why would they have to “cough up 80k” if hired at Delta prior to reaching 1,600 hours flown as a Captain at SkyWest? The contract says fly 1,600 hours as Captain OR accept pilot position at Delta or United.

For DL/UA you don’t. So if you lucky. Or your dad can pull some strings. Then good for you… but regular guys/gals in the UA program will need 1600hrs.. (who knows DL soon??)
