Do OO CJO's expire??
I got a CJO at Skywest two months ago, but no class date since I didn't sign the "advancement agreement". Which is fine, I'm busy dealing with other things right now and don't want an immediate class. In a few months when my (non-aviation) company gets sold I'm going to want to start looking more seriously about getting into flying, and signing their contract is my only option for any sort of flying job at the moment, so I'm wondering would they give me a class if I sent it in, or would the CJO expire and I need to go through the process again? (Unlike now, I didn't have to sign prior to interviewing)

Talk with them. The worst that they could say would be no. If possible get something in writing.
Couple of other factors to take into consideration:
How strong of a candidate are you in comparison to other potential new hires?
Hiring could stop while you are delaying your hire date?
Picking your desired aircraft may not be an option with a lengthy delay - you will have to take what they give you.
Be reasonable in your requests - you are not the only person they are going to hire. Frustrate them too much and they will dump you.
Seniority is still a factor in some things - you want as much of that as you can muster.
