I was new once too and excited to fly a jet. Others told me my perspective would change after awhile. They were right.

While right now you might think the money is good at the regionals and you do not need to "move along elsewhere so fast", let me tell you that life at the regionals pales in comparison to life at a major, both in terms of money and QoL. It's not your fault; you don't know what you don't know. The best advice ever given here is "Do Not Sign a Contract" and it's the best advice for good reason.

I am new in this market, I could be wrong. With your experience, where would you go and why?

When does the contract actually start, e.g. when does the 80k begin? Is it after you've accepted the CJO, you now belong to them? Or can you get a CJO but still back out without incurring the 80k, should you get another offer elsewhere?

did they make you recite the SkyWest FO creed? SkyWest First Officer's Creed

No one is more professional than I. I am a First Officer - a member of a flight crew whose purpose is to keep my passengers, crew, and airplane safe.

My decisions are the difference between life and death for both my passengers and my company.

I am the master of my emotions. No one controls my mood but me.

I will conduct myself to bring credit to myself, my Company and my profession at all times.

I will not compromise my integrity or safety for any reason.

I am a leader. I am a professional. I am a First Officer.

I think making the class stand up and recite that is stronger than words on any piece of paper 😂😉

because all those airlines that have/had high morals and standards, such as guiding principal and creeds are doing so much better, aka Compass, trans states, ect…. Oh wait. They didn't.

lol that’s funny right there I would never put morals in the same sentence with a company that’s affiliated with trans states 😂😂 that kind of came out of left field

Lol I can't tell if this is real or not. I could imagine both.
Anyways if there's a hell for companies, Skywest definitely deserves to go there.
And the worst part of the contract is, you can't even get an employment attorney to look at it, it's ridiculous.. if anyone found an attorney please shoot me a pm.
