4,347 as 123AB said. Most of our pilots aren’t really being pulled from us by legacies, it’s the LCCs that suck a lot of FOs from us. WN has been taking a lot of SkyWest folks too.

Right when the official schedule posts, you can submit your drop requests. Based on reserve manning, if it is high enough, crew support will drop your trip right then and there. If that doesn’t work, then you can request to drop it again a few days later (reserve manning does move around and could improve) or you can post your trip for other pilots to pick up. All of these things work pretty well for FOs and they can usually get rid of trips. CAs on the other hand, are in short supply and it is very difficult, if not impossible, for CAs to drop trips. About the only things CAs can sometimes do is trade trips with other CAs to better fit your desired schedule.
As an FO, once you are a lineholder, it’s pretty easy to control your destiny each month. As a CA, not so much. Just trying to post some honest truth here since there is an obvious troll.

Training Contract
Do any of you have RECENT experience with the training contract? I did not see this in the fine print, but someone has sent me some feedback from a SkyWest pilot stating that we must pay back the $80K, even if we do not pass training? Is this correct? Deal breaker for me if so.

I spent a decade at OO, mostly as an FO and then as a CA.
In that decade, I managed to drop *one* trip. And that's after trying really hard (always jumping online at 1900 on the 22nd of each month, when the system opened up to theoretically allow drops).
One trip. In ten years.
