Now skywest wants to play contract games
BREAKING
SkyWest has implemented a $70,100 dollar training bond.
New-hire pilots at SkyWest Airlines must now commit to employment at SkyWest Airlines until they have completed 2,000 PIC at the carrier (approximately 3-6 years).
A similar contract was implemented last month by Republic Airways. Republic is reportedly able to fill new hire classes despite the bond. Teamsters is challenging Republic's training bond. Skywest does not have a union.

They're kind of at the point where they need to do this, or just settle in and get comfortable on a descending glideslope to oblivion... and hope the shortage runs out before they impact the terrain.
They'll lose a lot of applicants but at least they can plan for the future, however much smaller that's going to be.
This must be Pan B, since Plan A didn't work out (hope and pray for a big recession).

I frankly cannot believe a mod would post this obvious false document. Not sure of the motive here, but we are on a countdown for this thread vanishing.

Right off the bat
1. Pilot promises to pay to the order of SkyWest in Saint George, Utah...This would have to say SkyWest Airlines Inc, as "SkyWest" is not the legally filed business name
Other thing, it refers to SkyWest Charter, LLC as "SWC", which is not its legally filed business name.
Those are two glaring examples. Its fake AF
