e.g. restore ORD-LAN service? Probably way too early to work the ouija board on that.

Exclamation

Co. has been making some of this open to the pilots here at SKW - so, a recent trip was flown with (3) day itinerary - the flights were point - to - point. SKW1000 call sign. Used to transport persons of widely known entertainment co. To my understanding this and one other (3) day trip have been the only charters.

On a 200? What does the interior look like?

Overhead bins removed? Just remove 20 Seats? Or replace with better “executive” seats?

My understanding is the first 20 seats were removed. No additional leg room added for remaining seats.

Closet storage up front like the Pinnacle 440's?

Skywest 121 has always done charters. They use whatever airplane the customer booked (175, 900, 700, 200). These charters are not being done with the part 135 thirty seaters, that’s a different operation, different ops specs not interchangeable.

Doubt they’re going to spend a bunch of money upgrading the interior of an old airplane.

That's what I was thinking. Wouldn't want to have to redo any weight and balance software and configuration. Block off every other row lol.

Block off every other row and you'll still be nose heavy.

I just interviewed today for charters. 30 seats, every other row taken out for the first 10 jets. This is a service bulletin that may be revised in the future to allow for bigger seats.

Everyone interviewed today was a retired major airline pilot with a lot of time and a willingness to fly with new first officers that will need mentoring. And that is a deliberate term. Not instruction but someone that will assist in getting them prepared to fly as captain for sky west and beyond. New f/os ( under 1500 hour pilots) will be taken on later on this year. The idea is to get an initial cadre of captains in place. I was the only non CRJ rated pilot interviewed this morning but I have 6 type ratings. It’s an interesting job and I hope to hear back from them later this week. It sounds like a well thought out program and there is a lot of demand for charter plus bidding on EAS routes.
