Little clip from SAPA update...Closing LGA April first instead of June 1. And this...

Flight Operations will continue hiring and new hire classes will remain as planned, and CQ, transition and upgrade classes are continuing as usual too. This is subject to change on short notice; however, considering the rapid and significant changes we have seen, staffing forecast and the training pipeline both new and recurrent remaining fully intact and unchanged is a hopeful and positive takeaway from all of this.“

Wasn't LGA already closing April 1?

Edit: I moved this from the other thread, and it was answered in the other thread. April 30, not June 1.

No. LGA closure has essentially been moved up a month.

This is nice to hear. But I am wondering what the logic is on this given everyone else has ceased hiring as of now (far as I can tell)

Are we stockpiling as an end game move for when things eventually get better? From what I read everywhere, SGU don’t often take gambles so I assume there is some diabolical plan behind hiring at full speed during a virtual shut down of the country.

No union, they can pay whatever line credit they want, SAPA will fall in line.
