CRJ pay
I see on the APC profile that there are different rates for the CRJs. I’m under the impression that you don’t bid which CRJ you want, and you may fly all 3 in the same trip. Does the paycheck have all three rates on it then?

The ERJ rates are the same.
CRJ2/7/9 rates are different for captains only and will be shown as such on each paycheck.
Yes it is possible to have one 200, one 700, and one 900 trip on a paycheck.
CRJ FO rates are the same regardless of variant.

You bid for trips and the trip will be a single variant. Occasionally you’ll tail swap to a different variant due to maintenance or something for a leg, but mostly it’s one variant per trip. Obviously, the better paying variants typically go more senior.

Random... but I’ll fire away. I’m a nh awaiting training. I keep getting emails for parking passes and the enrollment closing. Am I exempt and I’ll take care of this at Indoc? Or should I be starting this up now?
Also, are family airline benefits 30 days out?

Don’t worry about the parking passes... it won’t matter to you for a few minutes months after you start.
I’m not sure why you’re getting those emails.
For the benefits... it depends on if you were a cadet or not.

Not a cadet. Just a 121 transfer from CP.
DL benefits there were 30days after highway for family. Zed after 6 months.
I’m sure it’s carrier specific and I’m aware you don’t get your base assignment until after systems.

I am an cadet and I have completed everything for skywest and have a class date for August for ATP/CTP. Currently I am a CFII with my own plane and about 150 hours away from my R-ATP minimums.
My current career is very stable in this situation and I have enough vacation time saved up to make it through training, IOE, and any reserve time. My current work schedule is also pretty flexible and if I took reduced flying or a voluntary furlough I would be in a position where it wouldn't hurt me financially as I could just remain employed at my old job. I plan on retiring from the current job as soon as I would be eligible for upgrade at skywest.
Should I spend a little money and fly my plane like crazy for the next few weeks and get started in a class as soon as possible? Or should I just keep chugging along doing the CFI thing at 30-50 hours a month (it might be less as people stop everything) and hope this all goes away by the time August comes around. I know I am asking for glass ball prediction, but what would current pilots who have been through times like this advise? I would not want to finish slowly and get to August and have no one hiring- while I sit (still employed thankfully) - ready to go to a regional, but no one is hiring.

You've made excellent choices to this point and you're well prepared for this industry. Pilots generally hoard cash. That mindset will serve you well for this (and any future) draw down.
Unfortunately, you're probably out-of-luck in the short term for a sooner class. In front of you there's 66 names every 2.5 weeks on the CRJ side, 40 on the ERJ side, now wishing for sooner rather then later. Just pray for no training slow down and keep your eye on the prize. You have a CJO from an excellent company, right? That's more then most and they won't take that away. Keep chugging! Enjoy the ride!

We should know about what our future holds in the next coming days.
