Morning all, I received the following email from SkyWest after sending my application
SkyWest Airlines would like to schedule an interview with you. You will receive an invite with additional information once the time is confirmed.
Please click here to select from available interview times and see additional information about the interview.
SkyWest also included the following message:
I have clicked on the link daily for more than a week and always get the following message.
There are no available time slots. Please contact your recruiter for further instructions.
so I contacted the recruiter and was basically told that i just need to keep clicking the link and hopefully a spot will open up.
my question is Does anyone have any insight into how long I could expect for a possible slot? I know that the current market is flooded with FO's so I'm assuming it could be months or possibly longer before anything opens.

I had the same issue for about a week and then they released a whole months worth of interview slots. I would just keep checking a few times each day. I haven't heard about there being a pattern to when they release the interview slots, but it was a Friday when I was able to get mine if that's any help.

It really depends on cancellations, and them opening more slots, and the first person to spot it gets it.

CRJ class dates lately?
What is everyone getting for class dates these days? I emailed stating I've hit ATP mins on Monday and just received an email from my recruiter stating to expect a class Nov-Dec. Is anyone getting class dates after recently hitting mins?

I was told to expect September/October when I reached out a few weeks ago, and I haven't heard anything since. Expect to be notified about 60 days in advanced....so its looking like October (CRJ). ERJ would be earliest November.

Problem With Background Check Link
I'm in process of completing new hire tasks before I start. I have almost everything done except the background check but when I click the link to create an account with the 3rd party vendor, I get the following message:
"Error. There was a problem ordering this background. Please contact employment standards."
I contacted them and they said that several people have been getting that error message and are working to correct it. It does say that employment standards has to send you a new link if the first one times out, but I don't believe I ever opened it so I'm not sure how that could happen. Has anyone else been dealing with this error lately?

March 1, 2023 - Applied
March 1, 2023 - Got the survey email
March 3, 2023 - Got the email to upload documents
March 5, 2023 - Interview Request
March 27, 2023 - Finally scheduled an interview. I checked the link like 5 times a day everyday. Finally found two slots available in a month, cause pilot had broken his arm so they made him do interviews.
April 17, 2023 - Interviewed
April 26, 2023 - CJO received
July 21, 2023 - Reached 1,500 and emailed recruiter
July 25, 2023 - Copy and paste email "congratulations, everybody wants to come here, there's a waitlist, blah blah"
August 8, 2023 - Email that my class date is October 2nd (CRJ) with ATP-CTP starting September 22nd. Asked what ERJ class date was, and she replied December.
Hope this is helpful.

Training Pay During Indoc
Hey all, quick question regarding pay during Indoc:
WHEN exactly do we get the first paycheck? First week? After a month? End of first calendar month? And how often are the paychecks during training, and after training? Monthly? Bi-weekly? Weekly?
Just trying to figure out how long I gotta stretch my last CFI paycheck before I get the first SKW paycheck. Thanks in advance!

So for example, if you finish Indoc on October 24th, then your first paycheck will arrive around November 7th. You'll also receive backpay from when you were at ATP-CTP as well.

Best (junior) bases for ERJ reserve flying?
Hey all - I have my ERJ indoc coming up relatively soon and was curious about what reserve flying currently looks like at the various bases.
In my understanding, (1) we get to submit base preferences during indoc and (2) if applicable, this is affected by cadet seniority (mine is summer '22). Is that right?
Obviously that's also all predicated on what bases are even available; I think currently the most junior for ERJ FOs are LAX, SLC, BOI, PDX, and SFO.
I don't really have any strong geographic preferences - my main objective is to pick somewhere I'll actually be able to fly somewhat consistently. Anecdotally, I'd heard ERJ reserve at BOI hasn't been flying much, and SFO is pretty busy. Not sure how true that still is.
I'm sure it ebbs and flows but anyone have any idea what the busier bases for ERJ reserve FOs are? Or, additionally, where is quicker to get a line?
TIA
