a week or so after the email that my early feb class would be delayed, i sent one email saying i'd switch to crj if that starts sooner, but then on second thought sent another asking to maintain my erj request as at least for now it would get me to my desired domicile sooner. i got a response to that, only saying when they have a seat for me, they'll let me know. i've given up on any expectations. i hope it'll only be delayed a month or so, but you never know. going to try and make use of the time and continue studying for my ATP written and spend time with friends and family. been working so hard on getting to 1500, i haven't seen a lot people in a while.

Anyone else in 1/27 CTP and 2/6 INDOC? Still haven't heard anything about postponements, however CTP is only a week away and I still haven't received flight confirmations for either CTP or INDOC. Not sure if this is reason for concern as I don't know how far in advance flights are typically booked for training.

This is more for younger or less experienced pilots that may not have a couple back up options in mind and just heard their class was canceled or pushed.
SkyWest was my number one desire exiting the military. I only need a little turbine time left before I could potentially move on to something bigger. I've had a class date for SkyWest and two other 121 regional companies for a few months now.
SkyWest is still my number one choice but now that my class is bumped I am shifting mindsets to the next option or two. Yes, I hope to get an email back from my recruiter with good news, however I can't afford waiting and hoping indefinitely. I need to move on.
If your class was canceled recently then I recommend moving on as well. As previously posted by someone else, pilots are just a number. That's the same for all airlines and what I experienced in the military. Nobody there will give you a special pass just because of your situation. If you hear back from SkyWest, then great, I hope it works out. However do not wait or let other good deals pass you by. In the end, another 121 CRJ/ERJ company is very similar to the next and they will all help get you to a major.

Got this from them after asking for clarification:
We are working to finalize class dates as quickly as possible. Our expectation is to provide confirmation of your class within 30 days of your scheduled training. Once we have an update, you will be notified.
Thank you,

I’ve been wondering the same thing about the status of my interview from early Dec.That’s been the case for several different colleagues aswell. Not sure what the current hiring slow down means for attaining seniority tho.

Ummm…. If $4,000 and a week in a box is keeping you from getting hired at Alaska….. I’d seriously get the ball rolling…. I’d be at a CTP course Monday…. I have no idea what is competitive, but the fact Alaska hires with just the ATP written tells me you have a chance….

Exactly. Who knows when that will be. I’ll keep the SkyWest job offer in my back pocket in case, but I’m getting my CTP/written on my own and applying to bigger and better things the moment I have my test results in hand, which should be Feb 3 - the day I was supposed to *start* CTP at SkyWest, no less.
