Air Wisconsin since they are union and therefore have been able to negotiate far higher pay than SkyWest.

Air Wisconsin may be union but it looks like their FO pay is $60/hr for years 1-8; they want you to upgrade for a raise. SkyWest pays $90/hr for first year FO, $93/hr for second year, and it goes up from there.

I think SkyWest is more likely to survive the regional captain shortage than Air Wisconsin because of the size of the company. I would highly recommend choosing an airline where you can drive to a pilot base or one where you don’t mind moving to one of their pilot bases. Or choose a place that gives you the earliest class date where you can expect to fly the most to get the hours to move on.

What are the odds of getting called on reserve over thanksgiving? Like 80% chance? I have a 4 day bucket starting the day before the holiday.
