that will be fun. They used to have a UA flight into SGU that went out the next day as DL - on the Brasilia. They used a generic tail for that specific combination. Until someone showed up with a UA tail. Oh well.

Lol pilots complain about anything. We get the promise of more efficient trips and more travel benefits at no cost to us and your first thought is to complain.

Let’s say someone really wanted to hustle and fly as much as they can. Realistically speaking, how much could someone credit per month?

I’m pretty curious about the ORD base for the E175, especially as a new hire.

join the training department. And get 160hrs a month.. They are hiring right into ground or PT/Matrix.

That happened more than once, air turnbacks too..

Caused by swaps, they would originally have the right paint job scheduled for SGU, but things would get shuffled around and it got missed occasionally. I learned to look at the paint scheme before I went to SGU.

That’s awesome. Would it be feasible to be flying 80ish hours per month on top of working in the training department, or would that be stretching things a bit too thin?

My goal is to fly my pants off and get 1,000 hours of 121 SIC time my first year so I can upgrade sooner, and also credit as much as possible so I can build some savings up. I was thinking about picking up as much OT as I legally would be allowed to, but I’d be happy to volunteer for positions like the training department or recruiting if they’d take me literally after I go through training.

I think maybe he was thinking you meant credit vs actually flying. Joining the training department will get you lots of credit/pay but very little flight time since you'll always be ground instructing. What you want to do is get a line and pick up open time.
