Most airport food vendors will give 10% off automatically when you are in uniform (some are higher, but rare). I never expect it and never ask for it.

PPM 3018.15 PARA 9A1. An OBR will not exceed 5 days.
PARA 9.A.2 ....may exceed 4 days once per month. Meaning 4 four day OBRs plus a 3 day carrying over into the next month is completely allowed..
also a 5 day OBR is allowed month 1 then carrying a 4 day block with a single day into the next month is perfectly allowed.
not going to argue the nuances. Bid your senior home base to your heart's content, but as a jr reserve don't think you're going to do your reserve time at home.
you are right, my bad. But I don’t know you went to **** of to get that.
I’ve been bidding reserve for the most part of the last 5 years, as an FO on the CRJ, and CA on CRJ and ERJ. I even have a note in there for CS that I like OBRs. And in 5 years I’ve probably only spent less than 5-6 times sent out.

For anyone that took the 15,000 check for being a cadet, how long after IOE did it hit your bank account

?
exactly. FOs with 6 months or less are getting hired at some legacy’s now. There is a drawdown on pilots like never before seen and it isn’t about to slow down. There is no way the regional model is surviving in current form.

Yes, $15,000 for attending a partner university and being a cadet. It's classified under tuition reimbursement but just a check that hits your bank account after completion of IOE. 2 year commitment and you pay it back if you leave early

A guy in my 2018 newhire class got that 15k cadet check. Apparently it's been around for a while but not that well known.
