The question on the attire has been answered already, but it is business casual. Polo's and khaki's are fine and some are wearing button down shirts. No denim, tennis shoes, etc. Plan to bring a plain, white button down shirt and black tie for your Company Badge picture day. The hotel has laundry machines on site if you aren't bringing that many clothes.
The schedule is pretty fluid at this point, especially with Sims. I'd just plan on being there the entire time and if you get the chance to go home, it's a bonus. They stressed today before releasing us that if we do decide to go home, you better make darn sure you make it back for ground school. With this crazy winter weather, I'm not risking it.
Our class will bid for our Sim location and times on Monday (ground day #1). It's based on the Sim availability across the system, so it's hard to predict from a timeline perspective. We dropped our domicile preferences on the second day of Indoc and may not find out until the end of the month. It just depends on where your class falls in the monthly bid cycle as to when you'll find out your initial domicile. You'll have plenty of time to bid for a transfer before you get tto that point though, so it's not the end of the world if you don't get your first choice right away. I know more than a few that started at DTW and got transferred before their IOE started on the next bid cycle. Lot's of movement now and into the future.
Indoc: 1 Week - Tue to Tue with the weekend off.
CBT Online Training: 5 days - Tue to Sun
Ground: 2 Weeks - Mon to Fri (may have a short class on either Saturday in the morning)
Procedures Training: ~1 Week - Mon to Friday (schedule based on availability)
Sims/Checkride: ~15 day window based on Sim availability.
IOE: schedule is roughly 6-7 weeks after finishing the checkride
Cheers!

You can transfer before IOE. Not sure what's up with your bid but maybe try deleting it and rebidding

You can, friend of mine that is still waiting for IOE went from DTW to COS in December. I agree with 510Club, try again with a new bid for the next cycle.

Not sure how…the PPM says, “ No employee of the Company will be placed upon the pilot seniority list until he/she meets the required qualifications and successfully passes all applicable interview and training requirements for the appropriate pilot position.”. If IOE isn’t a training requirement for the position, I’m not sure what the heck I’m waiting for…
