Just giving my thanks again for your feedback! Started studying them this evening and while the voice in the video puts me to sleep, it gives me a lot to study which is great!

Great to know! Been very hesitant not to learn the wrong information (and ignoring all the tempting docs to dig into on SWOL). Glad there's something I can do to get ahead. If my user name gives you a clue... I'm not a spring chicken anymore.

I briefly clicked through some of those videos and they seem to be much more “building the airplane” than necessary. Take them at face value if you must watch something. Definitely do not even put enough stock into them to take notes. The information is accurate but you don’t really know what you do and don’t need to know yet.
The training department here is extremely efficient and they’ve got it figured out.
I would frankly suggest not watching them and only using what’s given to you. Especially if this is your first type rating.
Trust the process. They have had a long time with a lot of students to figure it out.
I think you’d be better off studying the FOM or SOPM and mastering your callouts (and I still wouldn’t recommend that until you show up).
If you’re new to jets and/or 121, establishing a strong fundamental understanding of 17347, reading jepps, and understanding turbine systems in general will benefit you.
The last thing they need is a class of 70 showing up who “watched the videos” and are derailing every guided lecture because they want to know where the hydraulic fluid is serviced.

they are way more on top of it then they were last time we hired this many.. they have been adding instructors, and line check airman well ahead of the classes being increased.. time will tell though with attrition..
