Lol, those “validations” are not PRIA, just an attempt to get your head a little more in the book to avoid wasted time during procedures and Sim. The big one is the “GV” or “SV”. We had multiple new hires fail that during my initial which will haunt them the rest of their careers. I think one of them actually left for JetBlue though.

After a while you will be able to hold reserve blocks on the weekdays.
After a while you will then be a composite line holder, where you will get the crappy trips no one else wants, but will not get enough hours (75 per month) so they will fill in extra days with reserve days to get you up to a lineholder pay month.
After a while you will then get 4 day trips that pay less than 20 hours per trip over the weekend and start at 5AM day one and finish at 11:59 PM on day four or if in a base with horrible standup trips that pay less than 5 hours and get the minimum 3 hour Rest available period you'll get those.
as you progress up the seniority list you trips will get better, such as 4 days that are commutable, but bad paying to trips that pay better.
After an even longer time you will get the kinds of trips you like.
Then you'll upgrade and start the whole process over again.
How many hours will you get? anywhere from 75 hours pay credit to 98 hours block/ 120 hours pay per month
Budget for 75 hours pay.
Now your next question will be "how long will this process take in Base XYZ?"

You will start out with 19 days of reserve per month, for 75.6 hours of pay. Three 5 day blocks and one 4 day block over the weekends. You can bid for either an AM Call availability period (3AM to 3PM or 5 PM-5PM Dpending on Base) or PM reserve availability period (9AM-9PM) that doesn't mean you will only fly those hours, but that you need to be rested and ready to arrive though Security within 2 hours of that time. They can call you at 2PM and tell you to arrive at 4AM the next day to fly until 2AM for the remainder of your reserve days., or they can call you at 8:59PM and say be there in 10 hours for a 3 or 4 day trip. The RAP is when you must answer the phone, not the only time you can be required to fly.

As to the length of each reserve block , you get to bid what you you want and the days you want off, but are not guaranteed to get it.

Can someone explain how the RAP is 12 hours but we only credit 4:12? Also if I am on airport standby for 8 hours do I credit 8 hours towards the 75:36?

Sounds like you’re commuting to reserve. If so, it’s the worst existence known to man.
Yes. Ready counts. And the company watches that.

took them 4 days to contact me. I know the wait is tough, but don’t sweat it. They are hiring pretty much everyone without jail time right now and letting training do the elimination. Probably just backed up. Good luck.
